Doll-A-Day 144: Skipper Saturday: Bend Leg Skipper in Junior Bridesmaid

  This week's Skipper Saturday doll is this tan skinned bend leg Skipper.

Her bouquet is real flowers. I think they're Forget-Me-Nots.

She has really nice colouring for a tan skinned doll. Bend leg Skipper was later produced with a pink skin tone.

She is wearing Junior Bridesmaid, from 1966.

It's one of the harder to find Skipper fashions. That's why all I have is the dress!

As you can imagine, the dress is hard to find in really nice condition.

It should have a head piece/hat, a bouquet, a purse/basket thingy, a slip,white gloves, and ,of course, shoes.

 Bend leg Skippers almost always have thick, choppy bangs that won't lay down. At least hers lay down pretty well.

 

She also has beautiful 'orange hair', as my orange haired children always call it.
