Doll-A-Day 2017 #309: Pebbles Flintstone

  Today's doll is this baby.

She's Pebbles Flintstone.

She was made by Ideal in 1963 and 1964.

She measures 14" tall.

She is made very much like Ideal's Thumbelina doll, with a pink cloth body and vinyl head and limbs.

This poor girl has some water circles on her body.

She has blushy hands and feet and tinted nails.

The blushy hands and feet are most probably original, but I don't know about the pink nails.
The main difference between Pebbles and Thumbelina, apart from Pebbles not having the movement mechanism, is Pebbles' widows peak hairline, and her weird cartoon ears.

She originally had a leopard print dress and a bone in her top knot.

Mine only has her blanket, which is also original.

See you tomorrow for another doll.

  1. She's cute, but I think they could have done a better job with her Pebbles molding. She just doesn't quite match her.

    1. No. She looks very much like Thumbelina and other Ideal dolls of the time. They must all have had the same sculptor.
